Early seminoma is a curable disease, which is treated with one of three modalities (ie, surveillance, radiotherapy, or platinum-based chemotherapy). Approximately 15% to 20% of patients with stage I seminoma will relapse when treated with the surveillance approach. Three randomized noninferiority trials have been conducted in this patient population: TE10 (n = 478), TE18 (n = 625), and TE19 (n = 1477).
