Amgen's Bone Drug Xgeva Delays Pain From Prostate Cancer Metastases

Amgen Inc. has reported that the bone drug Xgeva (denosumab) has the advantage of delaying time to symptomatic bone metastases, according to a post hoc analysis in a Phase III trial of castrate resistant prostate cancer patients. But it remains to be seen whether the result will one day be accepted by FDA and incorporated into the product's labeling.
