(00:04:31) Elsevier Global Medical News, 2008 Dec 6, JS MacNeil

Dr. Jonathan W. Friedberg is Director, Hematological Malignancies Clinical Research, the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center, in Rochester, NY.

Fostamatinib disodium, a new oral targeted agent, showed strong activity in non-Hodgkin's lymphomas that exhibit an “addiction” to B-cell receptor signaling, according to results of phase I and II trials reported at ASH by Dr. Friedberg. Fostamatinib also produced significant responses in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma.
